Dr. Kate Barker
is a globally recognised Chief Futurist and Executive Board Advisor, working at the intersection of artificial intelligence, leadership, and sovereign strategy. She advises governments, royal offices, private equity firms, and Fortune 500 boards on how to navigate uncertainty, exercise judgement, and build competitive advantage in an AI-shaped world.
As Chief Futurist at NEOM and advisor to the UAE Prime Minister’s Office, her work spans national transformation, workforce strategy, and AI-enabled decision-making at scale. She is also Adjunct Faculty affiliated with Harvard Business School, MIT, and Stanford, contributing to executive education on leadership in the age of AI.
Dr. Barker is the author of The Reckoning: Power, Judgment & Capital in the Global Era of AI, a board-level perspective on how artificial intelligence is reshaping control, capability, and global influence.

Built between 1795 and 1797 by order of Emperor Paul I, this historic fortress—also known as the Bastion of Emperor Paul—was designed by famed architect Vincenzo Brenna, with construction led by D. Quadri and military engineer V. Caius. Rising on the foundations of a 1702 Swedish outpost, BIP Castle blends imperial legacy with centuries of layered history, making it a one-of-a-kind backdrop for global connection and inspiration.

Its pentagonal structure, complete with watchtowers and historic military fortifications, once housed cannons and even served as Russia's first school for the hearing-impaired.
